Default Wastegate Question

the pipe (dump pipe) down from the wastegate (Tial) is currently open or not connected to the apex n1 exhaust. Does that matter? I know the car gets loud when I floor it on the freeway/streets. I know I have to take it to a muffler shop to get that thing welded with another pipe and weld onto the downpipe of the exhaust.

anybody had or have this kind of situation? If so, how much will it cost to get that connected. Also, noticed any differences (power, sound etc.)

thanks

No it doesn't matter. The only advantage to hooking it up to your exhaust is for emissions and sound reasons.

Also it's more environmentally friendly, if you're into that kind of stuff. Will make the general area of your car smell better too

that's what i meant. dump tube or pipe or whatever you want to call it. just thought no one would know what i was talking about.

well i guess i got the answer since that's all i needed to know is if it's just sound advantage.

of course i wouldn't want to have fumes
