Default dump pipe question with a good video!

dump pipe....how many of you are running the dump pipe back into the exhaust? can i just leave the wastegate valve open instead of running the dump pipe back into the exhaust. i dont want my wastegate to be loud so im trying to fing another way to make it quite. has anyone has run a setup with a muffler on the dumpipe of the wastegate or anything to quiet down the exhaust gases comming out of the wastegate?

in this vid you hear that hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssss sound that is becuse he does not have a dump pipe right?

If you route your wastegate dump into yur exhaust it wont be loud....it would be the same as an internal gate sound, which there isnt any....all you will hear is the whoooooosh of the turbo....Or you can run a dump tube and then you have the loud whhooooommmpppp!!! sound when it opens (which i think is the best sound in the world, it knocks people off guard)....Those are the only 2 options i have ever heard of?

Sound identical to my car....

Tial 35mm wastegate no dumptube straight out the flange...

Undecided if I like it or not, sounds kinda intimidating...lol. But I could definitly do without the heat in the engine bay and the smell in the car that's for sure....

Just dump it to the ground> It makes a great sound. Then it's followed by the BOV. Nothing could be better.
That's how I have mine.

That's Harrison's old probe. Sounds sweet. I have mine going back into the exhaust though, I love the clean sound of the turbo spooling and then the BOV.

Why would you want all that hot exhaust gas just flying under the hood of your car????? not the smartest or best thing in the world if u ask me, dump it to the ground..still sounds cool and your engine bay will like you better for it.....

first, I hope nobody will take this in offense when i say :whoever drives without any dumptube is too imcompetent to own the vehicle itself. If for whatever reason you have to do so, such as waiting for one to be made, or flange to arrive, then do so but stay out of boost. If not then have fun cleaning up your engine bay and replacing melted parts.

I wish someone made a manifold, downpipe and dumptube that routed into the downpipe that all matched up together and just bolted up. I dont want to **** around fabbing up one.

I would like to route my dump tube all the way down the downpipe and stop it after my engine ( this way it wont smell like eggs in my car and my engine would stay clean ), at the end I would put a small resonator like on a motocross to get a better sound !

is it too long for the dumptube or it doesnt matters ?
