Good luck getting help....I'm trying to put a obd2 motor and engine harness in a obd1 car with an obd1 ecu and obd1 chassis harness and I can't get a straight answer as to how to make them work together.

what type of motor and car. You can possibly use ur existing obd2 harness with an obd2 distributor, etc. Some more info about the potential swap and chassis would help....

The motor is a D16Z6 the chasis is a EJ8.

The harness I have now is converted for the GSR motorwith custom plugs made for teh GSR sensors. so I dont think using the exsiting harness is an option.

since your in clearfield give cortney a call at modern garage, he swapped a Z6 into a 98 coupe (cody's car if you know who I'm talking about)....Just ask him and he should be able to give you some good advise.

what engine harness are you using also are you going to be using the Z6 harness? have you tried transferring the the GSR harness to the Z6 and just getting new plugs and a jumper harness and converting to OBD1?
