Default Moved battery to the trunk. Need battery box!!!

What battery box should I get? And what place offers them for the best price? I was thinking of the blue moroso box, but I think it's quite pricey. Give me some opinions! thanks.

i got a marine battery box from auto zone for about $7. make sure you have a sealed battery though, otherwise you'll be breathing in harmful fumes..

go to your local auto parts store and pick up a battery box there. if you are still using the factory sized battery stuff some towels in the box so the battery doesnt move around and you will be set to go!

You wont want to use the factory battery unless you plan on running a sealed box with it vented to the outside. Get an Optima battery that way they are completely sealed and you wont have to worry about inhaling toxic fumes. As for a battery box you can find them anywhere from Wal-Mart to Summit. It all depends on how you want it to look an how much you want to spend.

haha...NO...enjoy your toxic fumes...

....get Morso sealed battery box for that and vent it to the outside....$6 dollar marine boxes WILL NOT CUT IT...unless you run a gell cell like optima...

well, i do agree about using a dry cell battery. i on the other hand am not using a dry cell. i just leave the sunroof vented all the time(which is good here in TX) and the marine boxes come in 2 sizes. here, i wil;l go take a picture right now.

I Already bought the battery. Hm so if I want to use this battery I should get the morso sealed box? None of the other generic boxes aren't sealed?

Look at the NHRA rule regarding the battery and relocatting it. It must be vented outside the vehicle and if you use J-hooks (cheap box) they must be welded to the frame. Also must have an external on-off switch. Most, but not all, Solo and autocross events that I've been to follow these type rules as well.

Thanks for the info, If i get the morso where can I send the vent piping out to? Anyone who has the morso box pls help. Also do I have to get the battery cables from morso as they state on the description for the sealed box? Or can I just use the ones I have?

I used the cables I already had and they sell two different boxes, get the one that is just the box and mounting kit, not the one with wires. Also to vent it, just drill a hole in the floor by the box and dump it there, thats what I did.

if its not specifically labeled as a "dry cell" battery then its probably just going to be your convention lead acid...meaning toxic fumes..

you might as well just go all out and get a small "dry cell" or SLA (sealed lead acid) battery...i picked mine up for $70 and it only weighs 13.5lbs...never had single problem with starting in any weather since. I'll post a link that has some very good info..you decide.
