relocating battery

Default relocating battery

what are the rules at strips for relocating battery to trunk? more specifically a HB

Battery cannot be relocated into the drivers compartment without a battery box (since you dont have a trunk you have no rear firewall, and therefore you would be relocating the battery into the drivers compartment).

So, get yourself an aluminum/nhra approved plastic box (moroso makes one I think?).

You will also need a master cutoff since the battery will be relocated.

does it absolutly have to have a box or can i just use a tray and tie down? does it have to be vented outside the car? i have a NRG cell battery if that makes a difference

Yes you will need a battery box box that is sealed and vented outside the car. Also you will need a battery switch tho turn the electrical system off from outside the car. Moroso makes a nice sealed box for about $100. It doesn't matter if the battery is a sealed dry type. There are no exceptions to relocated batteries. All must be in a sealded box.
