Default Rules for Battery Box?

I relocated my battery to the back of my car with a battery box, and I was wondering what the rules for having it in the back are?

Thanks in Advance

How would you "vent" the sealed box oustide of the vehicle. I went to an NHRA show @ the local track a few weeks ago and they were skeptical about letting me run because the battery box I have is just a black plastic one and they said I needed the sealed box.

The only non-metallic battery box that is accepted by NHRA is made by Moroso. Sorry, I don't have the part number off the top of my head, but I'm sure you can find it in Summit, Jeg's, or any number of catalogs. It says "Moroso" across the lid, and the description will tell you "NHRA accepted".

Otherwise, all battery boxes must be .024-inch steel or .032-inch aluminum.

They are the blue ones ... they are avail at Summit.com. The blue boxes are really nice and sturdy.
