Default Piston to Cylinder clearance wrong?

I just got my block back from GE and they bored and honed it using endyn pistons with a bore of 84.5 mm and when I went to measure for the piston to cylinder wall clearance it came out to only .0009". I measured the cylinder bore which came out to 3.3256" and then measured the piston diameter towards the bottom which measured 3.3247", which gave me my answer. The clearance is supposed to be .0028-.0029". Am I doing something wrong. Let me know what to do. I hope I dont have to bore the cylinders more.

That is some tight *** clearance for forged pistons.
Is you mic calibrated?
I measure my pistons @ about halfway from the bottom of the skirt to the top of the first oil ring. if you are coming up with a tight clearnce on all the pistons it's likely that they fucked up.
worst case you can hone that much out with a stone. it's not that big of a deal. did you try to fit your rings in the bore? are they hella tight as well?

take it to a machine shop and have them measure it. and if the clearances are to tight then send ge the bill!

where did you measure it ? I mean, how far down on the piston skirt, did you measure it against the cylinder wall ?

Not sure what you mean, but I measured the bore of the cylinder in three locations top/bottom/middle, then compared it to the measurement of the piston diamater.

I probably should have the machine shop look at it to get more accurate measurements, but I want to get my money back first

Another thing I though of, I already did my ring end gap for one piston, does this mean its gonna be fuked up when i get it bored another .0020" or so?
