Default Re-use Cometic HP head gasket, or no?

I know that people have done this, but I want to hear what you guys suggest.

Im in the middle of another valve job and replacing guides. Im just trying to figure out what I should do before I get the head back.

FYI. This is on my Darton LS motor. Not stepped or o-ringed, flat as hell. The Cometic I had in their was the HP with the ring and I never had any sealing issues with it.

What to do?

I have reused the regular cometics on the race car with good success, but I dont know about the hp model. Maybe call Cometic, they might have a yeah or ney for you. The way I figure, you can reuse it and see how it works. The worst that happens is you need to pull the head again and get a new gasket the next time.

Anyone else care to give some sort of reply?
So far a driver of a 9 sec. race honda says it should be ok to try, and another board member (didnt reply to this post) says he did it with 3 coats of copper spray and he runs 15+ psi on his street car and hasnt had any problems since.

Anyone?

Get a new one...there is no point re-using it and possibly having it fail, etc. Copper spray can't solve all problems .

Cometic will tell you that if there still are ridges in the gasket you can re-use it. If it is crushed flat, it is time to replace it.
