It seems to me that everyone is concerned with only determining what compressor they need for their specific application. After my phone call with Joe from PRECISION we both came to a conclusion that articles in recent magazines(cough cough) SCC fail to incorporte the important issue of choosing turbine trim. Fellas before I continue in no way is this an attempt at me knocking the SCC(IMO they're the best Performance Import Magazine on the market)...but it is my chance at calling them out to include this vital information for all turbo enthusiast...If there is a different equation that must be used to determine turbine trim then that should be published as well...Come on fellas choosing the turbine A/R determines spool or "lag". Everyone is looking for the most efficient turbo specific to their application...There are other variables in how fast the turbo will spool or you will see boost such as compression and gear ratio. Ultimately, calculating your turbine A/R needs just as much paid attention as compressor A/R.
Fellas, please comment and help me out. Agree or disagree. I'm not the best at putting this stuff into words I'm still a Newb
