Default Just got turbo and need some advice...

Is there ne way to tell from the outside if a turbo is a t3/t04b or e...? On the compressor side it says A/R .60 and the exhuast housing says A/R.48... Will this turbo work well on an LS Teg... How quickly do you think it'll spool and will this turbo work well with low boost...? Ne help is appreciated...

A T04E compressor wheel will have 6 double blades and the T04B compressor wheel will have 7 double blades.

It sounds like you have a .60 A/R compressor housing. It can have a couple of different compressor wheels in that housing, unless it is a newer Garrett Ballistic Concepts T3/T04E. If it is a Garrett T3/T04E, then it can either have a 57 or 60 trim compressor wheel. If it is a Turbonetics T3/T04E, then it can have a 50, 54, 57 or 60 trim compressor wheel. The .60 A/R compressor housing is the largest housing in the T04E family. It can flow up to 53 lb/min if you have a 60 trim compressor wheel. Since it has a .48 A/R Turbine housing, it will spool quick and make pretty good low/mid power. I am guessing that it will have a smaller compressor wheel since it is a .48 A/R turbine housing. If it is a Garrett, then it has a 57 trim compressor wheel for sure. It wil work fine on the B18A/B. Is this a stock motor?

Yes it is a stock motor... Don't have the money for a build up yet but wanna have the fun of boost so I'm trying to run a safe psi... Also yes it is a Garret... I was planning on running 6-8psi with an inline fuel pump and 12:1 fmu... Thanx again...
