Got my car back from shop......10 mins later...
OK i got my car back from getting tuned, it made 277 whp @10psi. Great.
After i drove 10 mins from shop, my car starts sputtering, then died. It wouldnt start again, but would try to turn over.
The fuel pump was not turning on with the key in the "On Position." So i called the shop and they said it was prolly the main relay and they tried lookin for an h23 relay and came over. It started, all was good, then i drove for like 5 mins then it died again. Same thing, fuel pump wouldn't turn on. Hard start, if it starts, the sec i touch teh throttle it dies.
If i wait like 5 mins and try to start it up again it works fine, i can hear the pump going.
SO what i did was waited like 5 mins, then it started up.
I took it for the 10-15 min drive or so back to the shop and left it there. When i got to the shop i left it running for another 5-10 mins, and it was working fine....didnt die, and now its in the shop.
Now my question is, could the shop have possibly put in the wrong relay? would the car even start if it were the wrong relay?
Im not badmouthin the shop, but im not sure if they were positive if it was a h23 relay or not since this was kinda spur of the moment and they brougth a couple other relays.
Does anyone maybe know why it worked fine on the way home or any info you can throw at me about this would help a lot.
Sucks, i thought id be driving my car finally this weekend.

What fuel pump are you running? Are you running an inline as well? It could be a bad ground or connection that is causing the problem if you are running an inline. It sounds like something electrical. Im curious, how many times did you try starting the car? You could have fouled out your spark plugs in the process of trying to start it up over and over again.

Walbro 255lph, no inline. I dont think its the plugs being fouled because when it doesn't start i cant even hear the pump running, and i have most of my interior out rigth now so its pretty loud, when it runs.
All the signs point to a main relay, but maybe the relay was wrong? Or for some reason it starst working liek 5 mins after the new relay was put in?.....i dunno..

Yea thast what im thinking, that the main relay was just in a big ol'box of parts and they just tried to see what was around. I think ill have them order a new one put it in there, see what happens.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I'd turn the car on... and then the fuel pump relay (I guess it's by the passenger side, near the glove box) starts clicking on & off like mad. I wiggled the ECU around, because it's just laying there on my floor mat, and I guess that must have don't something, because it worked without any problems from then on out. Before that though, I would experience the same problem if I made a hard left turn (even with a full tank of gas). I'm thinking there may be an exposed wire somewhere that's grounding out. I'll have to check it out later.

Aeromotive FPR, Walbro 255. Hondata 3b, 750cc inj....yada yada.......My fuel delivery/management is fine, it just got dyno tuned and it was workin fine then. It did rain heavily here recently and it did warm up. I hear that weather/heat/humidity migth effect a main relay on its way out........ I think its electrical in nature.

yeh, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the regulator. my car did very very similar things when my diaphram ripped on my AEM fpr.

it sounds like the Main Relay. i have been having the same exact problem for the past week. a couple of hours ago while at the races my car did not want to start. normally it would start after turning the ignition to the on position about 5 times. after the 7th time it still didn't start to i tapped the main relay and the fuel pump can on and the car started. first thing Monday morning i am going to the junkyard to get another Main Relay.
