DEI probably sells it. They sell just about anything related to heat reflection/retention. http://www.designengineering.com

Summit sells DEI stuff.

it probably does help to hod heat in the exhaust housing which turbos like. it is a heat shield, i would say summit has it not sure though. you could always get it jet coated

I guess it's worth it if you want to keep your underhood temps down. $70-90 isn't all that bad, compared to the more expensive heat shields above. I have my dp wrapped and my charge pipes in the engine bay have Thermo-Tec Thermo-Shield tape on them, so I might look into either the Thermo-Tec or DEI turbine insulator in the future.

http://www.techlinecoatings.com

the stuff called "black satin" is apparently good to over 2000*F, and can be sprayed on with a normal airbrush. it air dries- no baking needed, and based on their tests, reduced radiated heat 1" from the pipe by over 100*F. it's like $19.95 for 4oz, which is about enough to coat the manifold, turbine housing and downpipe. they have a new product out too specifically made for turbos. i think that's more like $50...

Do you need to take off your turbo to put this stuff on? Or can you just simply put it on while it's still on your car and still attached to your manifold?

Reason is cuase I had my turbo put on at a friends place far away, and all the tools are over there and they are out of town for a while.
