Default Help with oil feed and return lines

I have a T04E with an Inline Pro manifold that will be mounted to a b18c1.

I want to have SS lines pre made for the application because they are a lot less expensive if you get them professionally done rather than using Earls reusable adapters.

Does anyone know the exact legths of that I would need to run for each line?

Thanks

pm or email flamenco_T aka stan. He sells lines. I got a set of lines from him, they are beautiful. Top quality, good communication, fast shipping.

I'd get about 4 feet for the oil feed and a foot and a half for the return. You might not use the full foot and 1/2, but you can always cut it down if you need to.

Thats the thing, I cant cut it down. I am having the fittings put on them at the shop. They are compression fittings put on with a big machine, not reusable fittings. This is why Im trying to find very precise measurements for the lines.

Unless you know exactly where your turbo is going to sit and you know exactly where your hole in your oil pan is going to be, and then the exact size of the adapters on the end.. then you'll be able to figure out the exact length. Also depending on how far you can screw in the flanage and the nipple on the end of the flange too. you'll be close but not real exact. And for the Feed line.. well those are kinda long and thin and depending on what setup your going with.. Best advice.. just get a kit from flam or art

Earls makes a kit to pressure test your lines once assembled...its around 75 bucks but you can test them yourself to see how reliable they are.

The oil return has much less margin of error for the oil feed. If the feed is a half foot too long or something you can just route it a little more downward, or around something to make up for the extra length.

When I ordered premade feed line, I had 4 feet from the top of the firewall to the feed port on the turbo. I dont have a measurement of the return line but I have an accurate picture if you are interested in seeing.

Where your oil pan weld on bung located within the oil pan will differs how long your lines is actually gonna be. I replied to your IM. I came up with a solutions for you

since there is no bung in my oil pan currently, and I dont even have the turbo yet to begin to immagine where it would all line up...

I stated my previous statement incorrectly. I want to find measurement as close to exact as possbile, within an inch of its actuall length. Id rather it be a bit longer and move the oil pan bung furth over to the side than have the hose too short.

Do you guys tap into the oil like at 45 degree angles or do you come straight off?

yea, I found the parts needed to get it from earls and the 45 degree connectors for the return line are like 30 bucks a piece....are there any fittings that are the regular cost of like 5-10 bucks?

I dunno, you might be able to find prefabbed pieces that dont use Army Navy fittings... but i just bit the bullet and coughed up 50 bucks for two stupid fittings

I think if you really want to ghetto rig it you can probably goto home depot or lowes and get a **** load of brass connectors and fittings and do the same thing. I mean they do use SS lines for like toilets, dishwashing, and clothes washing machines...

Anyone know the amount of pipe that you'd need if you wanted to mount the T on the firewall from the supply line?
