name this turbo

Default name this turbo

Ok so I might get this turbo for my 48/60.....My assumption is this is a 60/63.....but it doesnt have **** for who makes it etc....just .63 stamped on the exhaust housing.....LMK whatcha guys think it is....hopefully no ssac lol




*edit* Just noticed there used to be a tag on the turbo.....is there a specific company that posts that size tag??? or at that location??? id really like to find out who makes it and what size it is....also what power its capable of?

Could just be an off brand or something. There are harldly any markings at all. Just that one number....weird. It doesn't look like ssautochrome - maybe xspower.........but i don't think so.

the exhaust housing is cracked already...i mean by where the internal gate is at...

My guess is that it is a 63/60 and someone changed the compressor housing either for a different sized one, or because the factory compressor outlet has flange, and it's a bitch to find/make an outlet for it.

ya well every time i rev the motor (with no DP on, just a flange to block the internal gate) it smokes big time.....so ya think that would be the seals?

If it smokes at idle when warm, than I would look into it. If it only smokes when reving, than it's probably something you can tune out with a restrictor.
There is always a chance that it's fuxxored, but I would try the restrictor valve first. Send me your address and I'll send one out to you. -Steve

ssac and xs are the same thing.. xs makes ssac stuff... both is ****
