Default Water Lines, Do I need Them!

I bought a t3/t4 turbonetics turbo, and it already has the waterline fitting on it. DO i need to run a water line or just use oil lines? I know a alot of people use only oil lines, but let me know if it does make a difference. Thanx

all you need is the oil line. usually water lines come for cars that are turbo from factory.

For turbos that come with water inlets/outlets, why not use 'em? Routing water lines to my turbo was the easiest part of the install. Took all of about 15 minutes and $5 worth of hose. Fact is, the bearing in my turbo stays cooler now than with oil only. That increases reliability and longevity. I don't know how other people define "necessary", but to me the water lines are...

exactly. its extra insurance and peace of mind knowing you have that extra cooling. its not too big of a deal either.

I know that its supposed to connect to the coolant line, but where and what kind of fitting? T-shaped may be?

The water lines are completely unneccessary. You are more prone to leaks in the coolant system, as well as a more hoses under the hood. To me the more simple something can be, while still functioning properly is key. Just plug up the water holes with the respective sized bolts.

I didn't even plug up the water holes on the turbo, just left em open, nothing will get harmed. Instead of routing the water lines I just used the turbo timer I picked up for free.

you can grab the water lines from the TB coolant feed (remove that loop to begin with), go with coolant and oil, no reason not to, just make sure you keep all connections tight and well made (shouldn't you be doing that with ALL of the parts on a turbo car anyway?!)

Amen, if your turbo has the option to be water cooled like mine USE IT, its nothing but good for the turbo, and they aren't cheap to fix either.....
