Default need help new to the turbo world, Greddy sohc related

Hey guys, last weekend I installed a greddy turbo kit on my sohc hatchie. I installed a greddy fmic and a blitz bov also.

I changed my headgasket and waterpump for cheap insurance and the car ran perfectly fine upon first startup. After idling for about 10 minutes it started running really rich. It was almost missing because of it. I have never had this problem before. Also when I'm driving it seems to bog a little on transition between vacuum and boost. I just dont know what is going on.

Also since I am new to turbos, I dont really know what a greddy kit is supposed to sound like. When the turbo is spooling up I hear a loud Shhhhhhhhhhh noise and then when I shift my bov lets out. I know the bov noise is normal but I just dont know about the Shhhhhhh noise under boost. It almost seems like the noise is coming from the exact same location as the bov because when I shift the noise from the bov sounds very close to the other noise.
God, you guys must just be laughing right now but Hey, I dont know anything about a turbocharged civic.
Could I possibly have a loose connection somewhere in my charge piping that is letting air escape? I do notice that when I am at low rpms boosting, my boost gauge goes up to 5.5psi and then slowly drops off to about 4.5 at high rpms, around 6k or so. Is this normal? Is the Shhhhhhhhh noise that I hear possibly my intake, or is it just the normal turbo noise. The engine seems really strong throughout the midrange and then feels weaker in the high rpm range. Is this normal?
As far as the vacuum line on the wastegate, I hooked that up to the nipple on the compressor. Is that where the line is supposed to go or am I supposed to have that hooked up to a manifold vacuum source?

Well guys, thats about all the questions that I have right now. Sorry for making this so long and possibly funny but please don't flame. I just have lots to learn about turbocharging now. Also what is involved in tuning a turbocharged engine.

Thanks,

Jesse

the shhhhhhhhhh sound is the turbo spooling up, get used to it. if you are not holding constant boost til redline, take the vacuum line off of the compressor, and plug the compressor nipple off. take the vacuum line from the wastegate nipple and run it to any intake mani vacuum source, and you will hold 5.5psi till redline. as for the bogging....what are you running for fuel management? good luck
