I am going to be running a zex kit with all the accessorys and was wondering what all you guys would do to prep the engine before a nitrous upgrade?

 

¿¿ZEX?? ¿why are you getting a zex setup?.....

 

uh, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, B-series 137 lph fuel pump ( if you really want to play)

 

what size shot are you doing.....75 or less all you need to worry about is ahving 93 octane in your car.....

would this be a direct bolt on in my 00 CX hatch(d16y7)?

 

1)Fill it up with premium fuel
2)retard your timing a few degrees.
3)You may want to get some NGK Vpower Plugs.
-Platinum Plugs are a nono with happy gas.
-The plugs are not a necessity but a definate recommendation.
-I gapped my plugs at ~3 so, that can give you a decent estimate.

No, all these are good advice, definetly be wary of what plugs you run, also i think I heard some horror stories about octance booster and happy gas once, just stick with premium.

 

before I have the zex with my car I always give it plenty of lube and make sure she is ready for blowin. Then you have to give it plenty of gas (yeah IM a sicko). After that Im good for shootin.
