shift linkage PIN????
spray some wd-40 on it and if you can get it out just a little grab it with some plyers and squeeze it together, should come right out then. It's going to take some patience, wait till you ahve to get it back in.

you cat grab the pin, ever seen it? there is NO WAY you will be able to squeeze it. let alone get a pliers into the linkage because the pin dosent stick out.
get an 8mm NON TAPERED punch. and beat the **** out of it.

How about you read what I ******* said?
"if you can get it out just a little"
and you can grab it, sorry if you dont have the tools or the ***** to sqeeze it hard enough. It's (at least mine and the other one I got from Honda) a spring pin. Why do you think it stays in the linkage? Just cause of that other metal piece around it? "uhh no"

The last swap I did I had to beat the **** out of that pin for 15 min before it broke free. I imagine it had`nt ever been removed...putting it back in was`nt as difficult. You need to break the seal, so to speak.
Just keep beating the hell out of it

Dude, are you takin the tranny out? If you are then what you need to do is unbolt the bolt that connects the linkage to the shifter, then take the whole linkage out when you pull the engine, and then pound it out when its out of the car. SOO much easier. Be sure to unbolt the selector rod from the tranny. Sorry to hear that your havin so much trouble w/ it. If all else fails, air chisel.
Good Luck

I used a socket extension and a hammer and whacked it about 15 good times before it flew out the top
The socket extension I used was the smallest size, sorry don't know the size.
Anyhow, put some elbow grease behind that hammer. It's not called "bitch pin" for nothing
I tried to install a new pin in my GSR swap and having a hard time. Any tips for me guys? Install from the bottom / top? Any advice will be highly appreciated!
