water Leak in eg
I know this topic has been covered before, but the damn arcived search is still down. I have a fair amount of water on my passenger side floorboard everytime it rains, its quite anoying because my car smells like a wet dog constantly!..Has enybody found the source of this water leak?, do you guys have eny good sugjestions on how to fix this problem..i apreciate it
i know it's one of the seals on the cowl......Honda made a recall on these, becuase they didnt use enough sealant to seal the metal.....**** the archive is STILL down, but i need to know how to fix this too
Have you had to change your windshield? If so I bet the seal is faulty. Mine was leaking thru my dash on on my or my passengers feet when it rained. Eventually would leak onto my fuse block!!

Trouble Spots
Water leak: There may be water leaking into the passenger footwell because of insufficient sealer on the seam at the firewall. Look for rust on the floor pan and run water over the right lower corner of the windshield to watch for water leaks before buying the car. (1992-95)

I have the same problem in my ek. Like someone has eluded to in an earlier post, there was a service bulletin issued by honda in '97 regarding this problem. In a nutshell it said that there is insufficient sealer on the body seams on the passenger side firewall area immediately underneath the cowl - where the fenders meet the firewall. I removed the cowl and ran water over the seam to test - being careful as to not splash water into the intake for the interior fan. I did this for about 10 minutes and couldn't find the leak. The search goes on.
If this is your problem, I think 3M makes a sealer for this. Just clean the area around the seam and slather some of the sealer overtop.

You think you have it bad, mine leaks on both the drivers and passanger side. I took my carpet out so it wouldn't get ruined, i've been driving like that for months now.
