Okay I was racing Friday night and I did some damage to my motor. Not really sure what I did but I think I threw a bearing or a wrist pin. Oh my setup.

On Greddy kit modified to 20g turbo running 15psi max. Usually because gas is so expensive in NY 10psi to just the spring which is 4-5psi. I'm running tuned on SMC+.

But anyway when I start the car it runs like normal but it sounds like something clacking around in one of the cylinders. What kind of damage do you guys think I did? I only drove the car for about 10 minutes once the noise got real bad and that was just to get it home.

Have you done a compression test? If not go do that and post back.

 

yo your motor is built but your not runing a standalone
i would of choose to buy a standalone before the sleeves man

 

Okay did a compression test reads 180 on all 4. As for a standalone I don't really drive the car with that much boost. Monday - Friday the boost is set at 4-5psi on the weekends if I go out then I turn it on up to 10psi.

 

Did you at least pull a spark plug to see if something was inside a cylinder? It's hard to say what happend but you will have to pull the head and pan to find out what is making the noise.

 

Yeah I did that too. I pulled the plug out to see if there was oil on it maybe I blew the a hole in the piston. But I guess I'm going to have to take it back to my tech. I also used a friends prob with a LCD screen and the piston looks fine! From the top anyway. And I drained out some of the oil no metal shavings in the oil either.

So I think its the wrist pin. If that's the case what kind of damage if any could I have done?
