how much boost on Z6 + 14b = 200whp?
How much boost would I need to run on a Z6 motor for 200 whp with a 14b turbo? I'm guessing ~12psi (stab in the dark), but how would I go about properly estimating that? Anyone running this set-up with 200whp? I'm just checking to make sure I build it to last.
On alot of the smaller turbos it'll take about the same 10-12 PSI for 200WHP. Once you get into the bigger ones maybe 8-10. I'm hoping to boost 200WHP with an AX53B60-P18

180hp / 184tq
165k mile stock d16z6 with a custom 14b turbosetup I made.. running 10psi on the dyno, tuned with dsm 450's and a fields boxter vtec controller.
If we had something a bit better to tune with, I probably could have made some more power..

I have a member on my board boosteded9, who was making a little bit over 300 hp on a stock d16z6 boosting 20psi, with a custom setup.. but finnaly blew the ****** up..

those #'s are very possible(more tq than hp) although you should be putting down more than that, are you running rich? bigger inj aren't nesissary for 10psi

stock injectors at 10psi, at probably 180% duty cycle, ya thats real safe..
Trust me, I know how engine management works, since I have done probably over 15 different turbo setups on peoples cars

lol, call what you want.. this has been posted on my site for over 6 months, alot of people dont belive it. The reason it has more torque than hp is due to the custom spring setup we have on the internal wastegate actuator.

I'm very curious, becuase i was shooting for 300hp, but i thought i was going to have to boost about 20psi.
I'll be running a T3/T4 50 trim .48 A/R hotside, .56 A/R compressor..

i thought the 302 was made on 16psi, and when he went for 20psi after running thre 11.8 with the 16psi 302, he blew motor???still SUCH awesome #'s...d16 rock on!!!!

in respect to the post topic... I made about 194whp @ 8.5-9psi on a T3 60-trim turbo with a flat a/f curve between 11.-12.0 coulda pulled 200 most likely if i leaned it out a lil more. On a 14b, probably a lil more boost to pull 200whp.

I made exactly 206hp/184tq at 9 PSI on a D16Y7 w/ Y8 head and T3/4B turbo.

from the little experience i have with turbos, don't you make more tq than hp if you're running a small turbo? correct me if i'm wrong someone.
