Default safe boost for d16

I have a d16y8 with stock internals. What's the highest boost I can safely perforn with this daily driver. Right now @ 6psi. I was hoping to get up to 9 or 10 safely w/o hurting my motor

for a detailed answer do a search... to sum it up... you can run a pretty decent boost level as long as it's tuned for. also remember the motor will break because of the HP... not necessarily boost level. so u could do 10psi on a t-25 but 10psi on a 60-1... i wouldn't recommend for stock internals. if you search ull find a lot of d-series people run between 6-12 (on average) psi safely on stock internals once well tuned

Compression is okay, the D16Z6/Y8 can handle a nice amount of boost ( 12 psi ) if you don't go above 6k rpm's. Rev's are not your friend, it's the hight reving of the engine that will kill it when it's turboed. I won't go above 6k on mine at all, and i have a 7200 redline....

you can take it past 6000rpm... tons of people do it. but the thing is don't take it PAST your stock REDLINE. also if you're not beating on it from light to light hitting redline every time u do it... it shouldn't be any problem. my redline is 6900... i don't revv it past that.... well i have once or twice but that's another story hehe.

Search for gods sake...or how about just try 20psi..that's what I would run. Anyways, your clutch will give up long before your internals will.
