Everytime i get in my car, it smells like nasty gas, it's not really strong or anything, but it is noticable.

I am wondering if i am running too rich, or maybe it is the wastegate because i don't have a downpipe...

my fuel setup is walbro 255lph hp fuel pump, RC 370cc injectors, and v-afc to control it at. my narrow throttle low and high settings are at -40 across the rpm band...

if you guys have any ideas on why my car smells a little funky, i'd love to know

 

well if you smell gas it's most likely because your runing to rich. having no dumptube doesn't help either. my car used to smell like gas whenever i got into it because it was runing way to rich, also at one point i had a fuel leak on my fuel line going to the fmu

 

This just happened all of a sudden?

If so...just check for any leaks in the fuel rail or injector area....that happend to me before.
Just had to replace the O-rings.

 

Check your gas and filter lines... Make sure they are 100% on there and with no cracks etc.... My FMU line sprung a leak after a while- rubbing up against the intake mani.

hrm not sure why it's doing that, after we installed the fuel injectors the problem started up.

i did lean it out to -40 at narrow throttle on my v-afc and that helped reduce some of the smell, but each morning when i get into my car is still has that light ordor of gas...

i want to try and lean it out some more, but i'm afraid i'll over do it and mess things up, so currently i'm just dealing with it. i'm glad there's not a lot of traffic in my city cause that crap gets you dizzy after a while.

 

My exgf complained I stunk like gas whenever I would come back from driving.. My car is tuned pretty conservatively though, partial throttle still needs to get leaned out some more.
