Eagle Rod Bolt Torque........What Foot Pounds??
I am having my engine gone through and checking clearances and such and they asked me what the torque spec is on my ARP rod bolts for my Eagle Rods. I don't have my sheet that tells this information. Can anyone let me know what the Eagle Rod bolt torque is for the D Series rods? Is it 65 ft. lbs.?
I have been trying to find Eagle's website but I can't find it. Do they even have one?
Thanks in advance

Torque is based on bolt thickness. What size bolts are in the rod? 65lbs sounds way to high. Crower/Manley is 45lbs and I think those rod bolts are thicker than yours so you would probably be in the 30-40lb range. Check the ARP web site for info on your rod bolts. Do not guess as this is a critical number. Call Eagle.

Call Eagle 662-796-7373.
I want to say it was 28ft/lbs but its been a while.

Oh, their site is www.eaglerod.com
The guy also stressed on using the moly lube on the threads and on the bottom of the head on the bolt. Just thought I would pass along.
Thanks again!!
Also, I am getting ready to purchase my ARP headstuds. When installing them into the block, what should the torque be? What does everyone recommend as far as head bolt torque (Head to block squeeze)? Again, this is for a D16Z motor.
Thanks.

You guys are torqueing rod bolts? Shouldn't you be tightening them by strech?
My headstuds are torqued to 100ftlbs lower/110ftlbs upper, donno how that could help you since mine are probly twice the diameter
