No money, but would like to make car a little quicker...Any suggestions?
I have hardly any money, but I would just like to give my car a little extra umph until I can afford my swap. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks.
weight reduction. strip stuff you dont need. get rid of your spare tire and some other stuff. 100 lbs is about equal to .1 sec in the quarter gain.
Drill holes in your airbox. Makes it sound like your going fast...haha
Weight reduction would be your best bet.

what do you have now? what's been done to it so far?
as stated above, weight reduction is a good idea.. also, you may be suprised at how far a good tune up can get you

I have the basics(intake, exhaust), and i took out the AC. Ill take out some stuff like the spare, etc and get a tune up and see what that will do. Thanks guys.
if you got powersteering, take that out too. and unbolt your exhaust before the cat and watch your neighbors ears bleed. haha......j/k
get a job or work overtime
just playing...."home made cold air intake",Test pipe,no interior,go on a diet urself..hmm you even save money by not eating and get to make ur car a lil quicker
,remove all the a/c parts including the piece under the dash..remove rear wiper and motor..ditch subs and any speakers you wont need...keep around 1/8th tank of gas in ur tank at all times..and dont pick up fat chix they will slow you down for sure

Sorry, getting a little off topic here...don't let those badunkadunkdunk housing chicks aboard. My CRX had this mod done when I got it where the bottom of the resonator was opened up and the pipe thingy that goes across the engine bay was removed and plugged (with a plastic cup.
)While this may not be as good as a true CAI or even short ram cold air fed intake, it is a start. Improving your shifts and driving skill by getting polyurethane shifter bushings (~$10) would help also. I know my shifts are a lot crisper even without a short throw shifter.
Also, next time you need tires, you might want to think about getting something great instead of something average for a good price if you can find it.
Also Ebay has cheap Intakes for 20-50 bucks......that will give you a little more horses......not much, but it will help.......
