Weight??
What can i do to lighten up the lude?? i seen some guys on PO.com saying that their lude weighs like 2600 with them in it, but they never answer what they did to loose all the weight.
My car is right under 2600 with me in it. I have no PS, no ABS, no AC, no cruise, etc. I took all the trunk stuff out, most of the interior stuff out in the back, and then just went through the car pulling things off that didn't do anything. There are at least 4 brackets under the hood stock that don't need to be there. I just pulled things off if it didn't hold the car together, make it go faster, or keep it stable on the road it came off during my swap.
i drove mine (4th gen) onto a truck scale and it weighed 1400kg exactly.
note: i think it's BS when ppl say their ludes weight 2600 or so...
the honda specs show 4th gens to weight 2950lbs etc.
so unless u've stripped out the ride somehow and got rid of like 300lbs.... yer measurements are wrong.

the curb weight on my teg is like 2650lbs, i'm down under 2200 now when i race. no back seat, most sound deadening removed, no rear panels anywhere, only 2 seats, no a/c, no power steering, a/c evaporator and condensor are removed, c/f hood, removed sunroof, removed wheel well covers.......
my lude is still sitting close to curb weight, probably a little lighter b/c of the fiberglass hood/fenders/bumpers, but i plan on keeping a/c, PS, CC and everything. i hope to have a 400+whp daily driven turbo monster. if it wasn't a daily driver, and i had the money to throw into a car like that and still have a daily driver, it too would be completely gutted.

5-10 pounds at the most. It's just a unit underneath your hood with a cable that goes to your gas pedal. Unless you're gonna take out the cruise control button, might be another 10 ounces.

the cruise control takes maybe 8 lbs. but it opens up a lot of room in the engine bay, and creates a VERY nice opening in the fire wall should you need to run wires through.
