Default Which sub??

I listen to all types of music and I'm looking at purchasing a 10" sub which will powered by a JBL 300.1 amp. Based on pure SQ alone, which subs should I consider? Right now I'm looking at:

JL 10w3v2
IDQ 10 v.3

Feel free to comment or suggest.

This year's IDs are better than this years IDQs. This year's IDQs have not been redesigned yet, but the current IDs have been. Correct me if I'm wrong.

from what i heard, the IDQ is going to/have been redesigned. its just a matter of time until ID releases the sub.

All of the specs are similar, but I'd go with the IDQ. Just because Ilike to deviate from the norm, and the lower RMS rating (overhead is good). It is probably cheaper also.

You also get a free dampening spray at sounddomain.com

That's where I planned on ordering it. I'm not good at resistance so... do I need a D4 or D2 if I want a final impedence of 2 ohms? Thanks.

EDIT: Also, I will probably go with a small sealed box. What volume should I be looking at?

I believe your amp does 300 watts at 3 or 4 ohms, so you could order either one. I would get the dual 2 ohm, so you could wire it in 4 ohm. It makes life a little easier for your amp. http://edesignaudio.com/ep/wiringtut.htm

Edit: Recommended is .4-.8 cubic feet. I'd aim for the .8 to get better low end, and maybe add some polyfill down the road.

I think you are thinking of the JL amp instead of the JBL. The JBL does 300 at 2 ohms and 150 at 4 ohms, but they can handle a 1 ohm load if one chooses.
