PRE-install questions
I'm going to be getting a Greddy kit, hopefully tomorrow, for my 95 d16z6...I still need an IC and basically somekind of fuel set up...The kit i got comes with a walbro 255 pump and i'll be getting DSM 450 injectors/resistor box and IC hopefully by next week (if cash allows me)...my question is, to run the afc hack, do i need to set everything up BEFORE i install the turbo and run it? the kit doesnt come with an FMU because prior owner was using DSM injectors and an SMC...the kit also comes with a "bleeder" type boost controller...how would i be able to check what boost settings are currently on, or do i have to figure it out when i take it for a run? any kind of info, whether answers or a heads up to a boosting newbee would really help..Thanks!
Also, for the injectors, what kind of injectors should i be looking for? saturated or the peak/hold type? whats the difference? what about those with the "blue tops" and stuff...

Damn I can hear crickets in the backround......
yes you NEED to hook up your AFC hack BEFORE putting the turbo on and taking it for a spin. if you put the kit on and boost without it then
YOU=FUCKED
let's see what I can do to help.
if you have all four "blue top" DSM injectors/resistor pack a fuel pump and the AFC then you have everything you need for you FUEL management up to 10PSI.
NO FMU IS NEEDED!
as far as your boost controller is concerned you should be able to blow through the hose going to your wastegate. If you are able to blow through it then it should be equal to your wastegate spring pressure.
hope this helps, and just as a word to the wise, be gentle with the D until your sure everything is working properly.
