I'm thinking of making a "home made" security devise to protect the steering clolumn. Is it worthwhile? Is that a weakness where the theives will attack, after they get in?

That's great for custom wheel, but I kind of want to keep my airbag too.

 

yes, the civic steering column is a huge weakness. once they're in your car, in a few seconds they can have the vehicle running.

any type of bolt/weld in blocking plates will help. just about ANYTHING will help.

 

Sounds like a good idea to me, ide think about maybe wrapping metal sheets around the console and welding them together. and then puttin the exsisting plastic back over. or somthing along those lines, ya get what im sayin. I mean even if it only withheld a couple hits or something, someone would look at it and maybe so shocked, and jsut give up ya never know
