The steering wheel is getting loose on my GSR. I checked the service manual and found a section on adjusting the steering rack guide screw. Do you think this adjustment will make the steering wheel tighter?

It all depends on HOW it's getting loose.

The rack guide screw holds the steering pinion tight against the rack. Don't just keep tightening if the PROPER setting doesn't help your problem.

If YOUR steering wheel is coming loose from the steering column, then you need to look in the section about removing & installing the wheel. There's u-joints & clamps in the steering column between the steering wheel & the rack. Find WHERE the looseness is located first.
