Where are you mounting your IAT sensor?
I have a 92 Civic DX with a 99 D16Y8 which has the IAT sensor mounted on the intake tube not on one of the runners. Well I have it mounted on my short ram now but soon will be putting on my "junkyard kit" so I was just wondering where you guys with a 96+ or a D16Y8 are mounting your IAT sensor.
I had mine just hanging in the engine bay for about a year with no problems. Then I tapped a hole in my charge piping for it. I think if you go Hondata, they recommend you convert to an IM mounted IAT somehow.

If you have an elbow going to the intake side of your turbo, you can drill a hole and mount the IAT sensor there (if it's the style IAT that goes in the intake tubing rather than on the intake manifold). I had it setup this way on my old drag 3 and it worked great.
I have mine in the rubber coupler that connects the charge pipe to the throttle body...i just cut a small hole and jammed it in there..no leaks.
I want to mount mine properly....but won't the boost just blow it out if you just stick it in with something like a rubber O ring?

Right, you want it as close to the engine as possible. I bet you could use one from an LS since it bolts to the intake manifold. You could bolt it to the charge pipe I guess.
