Question on crx hf, to si engine swap????
Hey whats up, im new in the honda sccene , and i was wondering besides the si engine, what will i need to performe this swapp, it would be on an 88 up crx, also is there a way i can do this swapp and still pass smog if so how would i do that, i live in california so the smog is sorta strict here, is there any possible way that i can use the zc engine and still beable to get it smoged in california?? thanks dajuan

Your best friend will be a 90-92 Teg. You will also need to pull the brakes off the teg and put them on because how you gonna stop. Yes the stock is fine but soo not enough brake for that engine.
Too start I would just get the front and then pull the back sometime later and convert that crappy DRUM brake to DISC.

Well I have th 1.5 DX longblock, with all the Si FI parts, with the ECU. But I am still using the HF tranny. Everything is pretty much a bolt in, upgrad to the DX\SI knuckles, breaks, and axles. You will no longer have an EGR valve, so there will be no where to put that wire (I just left it hanging). One thing I am not sure about it a sensor that is on the back, right of the SI intakl manifold, on my 88HF wire harness there is no plug for it?? But the car runs good, everyonce and a withe I will get a code 1 (oxygen) and have replaced my O2 sensor several times.
