Default Calling all MPFI swap experts, couple errors found in mine...

Okay well I am throwing codes 3, 5 and 13. 3 and 5 are MAP sensor codes and 13 is baro sensor.

Those are small concenrs unless they can make me blow lots of white antifreeze types smoke out of the exhaust. I have done the MPFI swap a few times, and never had any major problems. I dont really think this is major(maybe coolant lines on wrong somewheres??), but when i start the car up and rev it, it blows hella white smoke out, and it smells like antifreeze. What could I have done wrong. I mean it idles fine, and everything, just burning hella white smoke(like what would happen with a blown headgasket, but I never removed the head so...).. Im kinda stumped. Maybe if I fixed 3 5 and 13 that will fix the smoke? I doubt it but any ideas are appreciated and welcomed, lol.

maybe you hook'd up your coolant hose into the wrong place and the its getting sucked into the engine. thats the only thing i can think of.

Good Luck

The BARO code is inside the ECU. After I did my MPFI swap I go that code. It goes away then comes back all the time. Try to reset your ECU and see what happens.

if u loooked at spark plugs and they are fine then my idea doesnt aply
white smoke its also caused by a VERY RICH mixture...
i have had problems and my car blows white smoke and its bc for some weird reason my #1 inj stays open and floods my #1 spark on gas...
if thats not the case,... check for a compression test... change headgaskets... only takes me 2 hrs to change mines...

Well I just noticed.... My distributor was loose, and it was all the way advanced(i think thats the direction, all the way towards the front), and I fixed that, and am resetting the ecu now. Last time I started it, the white smoke was very minimal, but tehn the car died, not sure why, but then when i started it back up, it was there again, just a little. I need to get my compressiont ester from my freind... Anyway, ill keep yuou updated gonna go back out.

Okay well I just reset my ECU and... I am throwing codes 3 and 5. What can cause my map sensor to be coming on, all the hoses are connected. And it was fine, I just went and drove it, very little white smoke, and i mean it drove fine, idled fine, no problems, its like running WAY rich or something. How can I adjust this, or maybe one of my injectors are stuck open or soemthing, i dunno...

What can cause the MAP sensor code to be thrown, I think thats why my car is running way rich... 3 and 5 are the only codes left...
