Default I am being ripped off by Import Builders as we speak. Please read.

Hello, my name is tom and i work at a shop called NRGtech in Long Island NY. We recntly started tuning Hondata and to date i have gotton all my pieces as promised. I had trouble with my first unit and called jeff a few times and spoke to him. I also wrote him several emails. It turns out i was going on a vaction to cali anyway so he kept telling me the same thing "dont worry pal. We can fix it" Thats all. I would ask detailed questions and get simple answers that would solve nothing except frustrate me more. Whatever. When i got their nothing got solved that day. I learned zero about the system. once again, whatever.

fast foward to today..

My hondata is up and running and so is all my tuning software. 2 customers come to me and order 2 units. I get in touch with jeff that same day. I email him,....he emails me back. we verify our order for sure and he gives me an amount to send. while I cant give ouyt numbers it was somehwere between 600-700 dollars. One of my customers give me an extra 40 for overnight shipping. This was made clear to jeff that I needed it right away. ASAFP. he understood. I told him extra money was in the package and to send it next day air. I sent more then enough for the shipping. he assured me it would be sent out the same day.

He got the money last friday. For sure. I have the usps postal reciept to prove it.
Moday-nothing
tuesday-nothing (1 email sent. No reply 1 phone call. No answer)
wednesday-nothing (2nd email sent. no reply. a few phone calls. no answer.)
thursday-nothing-(a 3rd email sent. no reply. at least 5 phone calls. No answer.)
friday-nothing once again (1 email in the morning. no reply. A final email warning him of what action i was going to take. No reply. at least 5 phone calls again no answer)

So here is my position. I know for a fact he has the money for 1 week. I have no units. I have no replies to my emails. I have nobody answering the phone when i call to find out about the situation. How come he answered SO fast when i was placing the order. But now i have a problem i get no responses for a week.? WTF?

If i do not get an email within the next 24 hours i will pursue even further action. We are hard working people and dont deserve to be screwed by anyone. If i get an email saying the stuff is coming or i get the shipment then i will gladly delete this email. I feel i have been more then fair in waiting for an answer on 600$+ worth of parts.

Until then i will leave this post as is., And case you didnt know this is the biggest forum in the honda world. If you try to screw me then we will make our sole purpose in this busniess to put you out of business. Much like you feel about a few others.

Awaiting an email...

Tom

how did you pay him? if you paid him with a money order from USPS then you can claim it. it's a LONG process but you will get your money back. it happend to me last year and it took about 4 months for me to receive my money back. if he's a reputable shop, i don't see why he would need to scam! scammers

so what does this have to do with Forced Induction TECH?

Edit: And I assure you that Jeff is not a scammer. Import Builders is an extremly established and reputable shop. If what you are claiming is true, there will be an explanation.

Wow, that really doent make sense at all. I thought jeff was a reputable guy. he is this forum as username Import Review. Maybe he can speak up and rectify this situation. I just got a catalog from him so i think he is still in business.

nothing would make me happier then to get an email from jeff saying that the stuff is on its way. believe me, this is the last thing i would want.

The goes with the forced induction forum because alot of people in here buy parts and i dont want him to do this to anyone else. Plus this is the forum where people know their stuff the most. This needs to be seen by people to make it known. I feel this is an important subject simply because IB is such a known shop.

I purchased the MO from a 711. Unfortunately not the PO

Wow, sucks seeing a reputable company go sour like that, over $700.

Does anybody here have any other means of contacting Jeff from IB?

Good luck to you, Tom.

maybe, but it's not long enough for you to create a post about it with those intentions.

You might contact Vtecvoodo. He is organizing a dyno day at IB on Feb 22. I know Jeff has been under a lot of pressure because of a bunch of dropped sleeves from a sleeve installer who claims his sleeves never drop. He could be taking some needed time off. I've never heard of Jeff doing anything bad to anyone on this board
