Default Attn: People who work directly for Hondata

why does it take so long to ship out a chip? My car's still in the shop, and they ordered a new chip for my Hondata two weeks ago, and they still haven't received it yet. I don't want to sound like I'm bitching, but, in a way, I kinda am. Because my car's sitting there right now, taking up shop space for them to work on other cars, and I'm sitting here without a car.

If there's a possible way you can check to see what's taking so long, I'd greatly appreciate it as a customer. The shop who ordered it is called Garage Kwai. Either Pinyo or Benson Wong ordered it. Their shop address is:

553 S. Aurther Ave.
Arlington Heights, IL 60005

If you could do me this favor by finding out what's going on, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Are you waiting for just the actual EEprom? I'm pretty sure you can buy those at electronic stores.

I'm waiting on the chip that you install into the ECU, that needs to be burned.

This sounds like a problem with the dealer, not hondata. Those chips can be found anywhere, even radio shack.

I have ordered from Hondata dozens of times and have to say they are extremely good at getting stuff out on time. On the flip side most of the tuning shops I have worked with just blame the vendor when they have been too lazy or forgotten to place an order. Call Hondata and see if they have an order pending from your tuner.

They did order it. I know this for sure, because they've been wanting to get my car out of their shop now for the past couple weeks.

Also, the other problem is that the shop needs somebody around Chicago who knows how to burn a Hondata chip. They deal strictly with only AEM, so their knowledge of Hondata isn't as good.

Hondata told them that they would burn it, but, not with my size injectors. They said that 440's are too big, and that the shop has to do it themselves.

I will recieve some chips in the mail in the next couple of days. I will send out as soon as I get one ready for you.

Remember will be a START UP PROGRAM!!!!!!

It should start your car and you will be able to drive the car, but not under WOT!!!

You will have to get it tuned!

Please shoot me an email colin_zhao@hotmail.com
Let me know where I should send it to and make it who's attention.

How much will it cost me?

Because the shop already has one on order for me, and I don't want to buy two chips if they're really expensive.
