boosting but not goin anywhere
just did a turbo install on a h22 97 prelude and everything is hooked up right , but the car boosts but doesn't go anywhere, basiclly its slower than stock , and also it never stops boosting it got up to 10 psi and we backed off because we didn't want to blow it up .
now the boost gauge is tapped in right after the throttle body , i have heard that it should be tapped in the back of the manifold not so close to the tb
now what the hell is wrong???

do you still have a clutch??
LOL...
some people bolt the turbo on, get out of the driveway.. give it a whirl and it's gone....
are you boosting but running lean? if your boosting but it's feeling like it's sputtering and loosing power or not quite there.. maybe it's not getting enough fuel..

maybe your wg spring is too tough....my buddy got a deltagate with a 35psi spring! He wondered why it hit 20psi, and blew all the charge lines on the first test drive. Of course his car went somewhere though...
ok, we dont believe that it is the waste gate cause we have tried two and it does the same thing. btw it's a deltagate.
i have a new high volume in tank fuel pump w/ fmu so it shouldn't be fuel but it's possible.
we disconnected the intake side piping and runs fine so it's not the car.
also retarding the timing?????????? we dont know how it's not like the normal distributor it's fixed in it's position and we cant turn it so the timing is stock.
please help we've had a lot of down time and are ready to get it going

do you have an exhaust temp guage or anything to let you know if you are lean or rich.
I had that problem when I turned the boost up too high and I slowed down compared to lower boost I ran lean and not enough fuel tuning for the boost I went to.
What is your pressure gauge set to at idle?
And yea how is your Clutch?
