Default n2o Tranny suggestions???

Ok, I have a g2 teg with an LS/Vtec, Forged internals, 12:1 compression and a 100 shot on the way. I am going to bump up to a 150 shot onceI find some stainless steel valves.

All I have right now is a YS1 that was in the original car (LS Tranny... 4.26 FD)?

My question is what all gearing setups are people wioth similar setups using, and what would be a good setup for me? Also, G2's are cable trannies not hydro. :-/

No. it's the long-geared YS1 from the 93 LS.

even boosted cars have been running short gears.... you need to get out of that 4.26 FD...what gear are you in at the traps

just barely after I shift into 4th... If I stayed in 3rd I would come across at maybe just over 9500-10000 but I've never tried. Only thing is I don't have the shot on it yet so u know.

Ok where would be the best place to get one?
Also... would it be better to get a Hydro tranny and just swap out the internals or just get a good cable tranny?

4.26 or 4.40 FD for the 92-93 teg? Don't quote me on this one but i've read many time that the 92-93 teg have a 4.40 fd.

That's the GSR tranny. Here are gear ratios courtesy g2ic.com

LS GSR
1st 3.230 3.307
2nd 1.900 2.105
3rd 1.269 1.458
4th 0.966 1.107
5th 0.742 0.875
Reverse 3.000 3.000
Final Drive 4.266 4.400

ya i know, but look at this link: http://www.allmotorhonda.com/techpag...anny_specs.htm

And look at this one: http://www.bseries.net/html/specs/btrannyspecs.php

From what i understand, the b18a have the 4.40 FD and the B18B have the 4.26 FD.

Hmm... I dunno. I do know this... it's slower than ****. lol.

I did the gear ratio calculations for a 4.26 final drive and they came up right for it like 3rd gear at 4800 rpms is 60 mph. speedo reads 100 km/h which is right. ;-)

But who knows... I still definitely need something.

Cool... I got a guy that might buy my YS1 so I may take u up on that if u still got it in a few days...

What's the Pro-Shift race tranny if u don't mind me asking? ;-)

Haha, it just sounds like it might be worth an extra 150 bux
