Best cable vtec tranny for boost?
Im pulling my engine this weekend and plan on selling my stock LS tranny and was trying to get some info on the best cable vtec tranny for my goals.
the setup is b18c sleeved, precision turbo, etc... 400-500 whp and hoping for low 11's high 10's/ running 24.5"-25" slick. whats going to be the best gearing for this setup. I know about the 92-93 gsr trannies but they are pretty rare. thanks for any help.

a 93 GSR Cable (YS1) or JDM XSI (YS1 also) tranny would be ideal, short gearing along with the big shaft that are compatible with the newer hydro b series tranny replacement parts
I have an S1 (same as J1) from a 1991 teg Xsi, it has the same gearing as the 97 ITR last time i checked and has a 4.40 FD, which makes it wicked short, highway cruising blows but its worth it when you start ripping gears. whoever said longer gearing for boost was dead wrong, its clearly faster with the cable S1 then a USDM cable LS tranny.
