Default swap trouble

Got the motor running tonight (B18a into a 89crx) but it idles at 2 grand any ideas.

Have you adjusted your idle screw at all? Checked for throttle cable tightness? Throwing any codes?

No codes, cable is fine, haven't touched the idle screw...any other ideas???

its prob the screw or the cable 1 of the 2 i bet
Also check if you have some sort of vacume leak... hoes around the intake manifold.

things to fix idle:
adjust the idle screw on the trotle body
check u dont have vacum leaks
check the tension the trotle cable
make sure ur car its on the right timing.. advance timing advances rpms...

my buddy its s tuner on engines... he ahs a LS on his rex.. and for some weird reson it always idles between 1-1.5k

let the car warm up also.. to see if the IACV shuts off and lowers ur idle

are you sure you got all the vacum lines in the right places, i know the ls has mad vacum hoses, so just play around w them a little . i had the same problem

Now its surging from 1000 to about 1600 at idle Checked the iacv replaced it with a good one same problem if i unplug the iacv it idles fine at about 850
