I thought I knew the answer to your question right away, but now that I'm checking your location, I'm a bit unsure.

In the US, all EX's are SOHC VTEC, with the D16Y8 motor.

In Guam, I think they the SI-R model, which is the equivelant to the US EX.

Actually, you've made [another] post with incorrect information. All EX's in the US have the SOHC VTEC D16Y8.

Please stop posting.

Any 96-00 Ex model civic comes with a D16Y8

96-00 LX and DX models come with the D16Y7

So then why would you post in this thread?

Can't you see the question has been answered at least three times already in this thread?

Actually your post is inaccurate as well. the 92-95 EX models had the sohc vtec d16z6...

Don't be so quick to flame... And don't be so quick to ask people to "stop posting..."

It was already mentioned in my first post as to the year/generation I was talking about.

And if you want to be that picky, there was no EX model made in 92. The 5th gen coupe, "EG", was only made in 93-95.

It is, notice I said "EG".

I did that cause it's easier. People get too hung up on chassis codes, IMO.

It's cool, some people get all funky over chassis codes, your right. I was just making sure because my VIN says EJ
