clutch disengagement ?
noticed my clutch pedal is really close to the floor when the clutch is disengaged, is this bad? Its a aftermarket performance clutch and it does have some pretty stiff pedal pressure. The clutch is not slipping but I have noticed when launching at the strip from 5k with the clutch pedal fully depressed the car rolls slightly foward. Anyone every had these problems? thanks

do you mean free play at the top of the pedal stroke? If so yes about a 1/2 inch or so. Man its so anoying because its hard to stage the car because it rolls. Ive asked techs and friend with shops and no one has a clue.
right before i replaced my clutch, my old one was really acting funny. One of the funny things was it rolled when the brake wasn't held. After taking out the tranny and finding out what the problem was (part of the clutch was broken off and stuck in the clutch disc making it always engaged) the problem was fixed with a new clutch. However, in your case, maybe the clutch pedal isn't adjusted correctly and needs some more freeplay. I really don't have any more suggestions. sorry for not being that much of a help
part of the disk was broken off. did your car roll just like I described above? When the car is stoped and clutch pedal is in with no brake and no gas my car doesnt move only when gas is applied around 4-5k rpm. Is this the problem you had? sorry for so may ? but I want to no if I should throw another clutch at it or maybe like you said before pedal adjustment. thanks
with the bad clutch still in, the car would roll at idle. It was because that little piece was still making contact with the flywheel and partly grabbing the clutch disc. I don't know why your car would roll forward when at 4-5K. How old is your clutch? Mine had 137K on it and finally died.

i read another thread , ........... arent most aftermarket clutches adjustable
I adjusted the clutchmaster from under the dash and the pedal feels way better. I will go to the track and see if it still rolls but I think the problems solved thanks for all the help
I had the front of my car jacked up so could add a resonator. When I gave it a couple of revs(to hear the sound) The wheels were slowly moving, even in neutral. Does anyone elses car do this?
