Default skunk2 shortshifter and skunk2 ****

does anyone have this in their car? i installed the double bend shifter, but i cannot get that nut that comes with the shift **** onto the threaded part of the shifter. i got it maybe 3 or 4 threads down, but now the nut is stripping. it is extremely hard to get that nut on there.

HELP!

find a light grease and a good wrench.

you don't have to have the nut on there but it helps to keep the **** aligned right.

Just don't use the nut. I'm not using mine, and 4 of my friends aren't using theirs... Just stuff some electrical tape in the top of your shifter so it has a little play when you tighten it down... hasn't failed yet!
