i finally wired up my knock sensor and IAB. now that code 23 went away, code 22 is showing now. i know its the vtec , but how do i check it. need help guys please reply. thanx

 

is that vtec pressure switch or vtec solenoid? (i cant rememebr)

either/or, check the wiring, then check the sensor/solenoid...

VTEC Oil Pressure Switch - defective circuit or unplugged / defective oil pressure switch

 

what should i do to check and to verify what exactly is the problem.

 

make sure the thing sticking out of the VTEC solenoid with the green plug (ie the VTEC oil pressure switch) is undamaged and plugged in.

check that the wires from the green plug run to the right pinouts on the ECU. (?)

if the wiring checks out OK, substiture teh VTEC oil pressure switch with a known good one (ie one off a friends car...)
