k20 into a eg hatch .... how soon do you think we'll see this....
words out that they have been bolted into an ek ....
if the eg's engine bay is larger ... then how soon do you think we'll see this feat...
i'd say by early 2004 ...

who cares?
its a complete waste of money.
for the price of the ENGINE ALONE you could buy a GSR swap and turbo it.
the k20 isnt even that special.

will i think the k20 will open doors to even faster honda's....
think about it if you build a gsr and tubro it ... keep it streetable ... usually you'll see low 12s ... to what i've witnessed... in some cases high 11s... we've all seen 12second honda's driven everyday..
now if you build a k20 for turbo in the same hatch.. what if it produces even more power .. "power to wieght"... 2.0l with a turbo...
these motors don't have to be bored to 2.0l if you follow what i'm saying...
its more practical ... b20 - vtec conversions.. alot of work...
k20 is already 2.0l .. not to say that you need 2.0l to run 11s or 12s..
but i think that we'll see faster daily driven civics in years to come
the price maybe high now .. but once its common to swap these engines in these cars they'll become cheaper

its not gonna get "common" for at least 5 years
and by then not many people will be using the 15+ year old EG platform.

You make it sound so sad Kamin...lol im j/k. It hard for me to believe that the eg platform is over 10 yrs old. But i agree that it really isnt worth putting k20 into eg.

My friends dad had a 02 RSX Type-S and I have a friend with a 02 Civic Si. I drove both and they were a nice cars, the RSX is much better. I have a 92 VX with a 99 B18C1 and I've went up against both cars on a few occasions and I can take the 02 Si with ease. The RSX can keep up to a point but I pull on him everytime. Would I want the K20 in my car? Simple answer is NO! Would it make a nice swap for a 01+ Civic? Yes.
There is so much more aftermarket for the B series motors since they've been around for a while. You could easily build a B series powered car for a lot cheaper and get much better results than with a K20.
iVTEC - the i stands for "in need of."
