Default what should i do for reliability?

im going to buy a ek hatch. i had a h22 eg hatch and loved it but hated the tranny. i want something reliable, i can keep a/c, i dont want p/s, and i dont want to spend a ton. should i just to a b20 swap, turbo the stock d16, etc??? thanks guys. ive been out of the honda scene for about 4 years so i need help

I'm a fan of the GS-R (B18C1) swap...more torque than the B16 and pretty much plug and play (was for my EG, not 100% sure about EK's).
