Default rockford HE2 12" subs, opinions needed

ok i can get a screamin deal on these subs. they can handle 400 RMS watts and i plan to install them in my new tacoma. they retail for $199.99 but im getting 2 (brand new, sealed in box) for that price. i was hoping some of u audiophiles could give me opinions on this sub. ill b running 2 of these w/ the rockford punch 700s amp. it produces 700 RMS watts X1 bridged. will this b a good setup? thanks

thanks for the reply, but could u b more specific. do u have any experience w/ these subs? also im going to put them in a sealed enclosure, is that the best u think? i dont like bandpass boxes. also will these pound pretty hard? i dont need a ton of bass, mainly want it crisp and clean but want to hit those lows when i want, thanks again

i'd take the k-series over the rockfords anyday. i have the E15K sitting right next to me (well not that close to the monitor will go funky again..). built quality is better than the rockfords imo. the k-series has something the rockfords don't have. sound quality!!<---being sarcastic

u won't be dissappointed with these. (unless you have VERY high expectation.)

I have two Fosgate 12 in a sealed box for almost 3 years and NOT one problem and I have them at 2ohm and 250watt per speaker.

They kick *** and there are a few people on here who have heard them and will say they sound good.

If you have problems with any speaker or amp it is most likely due to the install and not the peice.

I run 3 HE2 10" w/ a 700s and a 500x, I love it. Had to buy hella dynomat to stop it from rattling, but it hits very hard and I've had this setup for about 5 months w/ no problems.

Ok? That will slam, like I said I run 3 he2 10's, two powered by a 700s the other by the 500x. The current joke for my car is to bring earmuffs.

Running mulitple subs off of different sized amps is really not that good of an idea. Your not using your woofers very effeciantly and it could be a lot louder if you used one big amp to power them. Due to power distribution and actual power of the amps, you may be cancelling out soundwaves that could make the car even louder!! I have no doubt that those woofers are rockin, they are a good product no matter what others say. Rockford woofers will not blow if you know how to treat them well. They jam, but for a lot less time if you tune them improperly.

yes you can. I have my 700s pushing 2 dvc's wired for 2 ohms.
explain to me how you do this, because i would love to know.
the he2's are only offered in dual 4 ohm and the 700s is a 2 channel amp so you are mistaken.
if you had a 700x it would be possible to run them in a 2ohm load because it is a 4 channel amp.

let me rephrase that..

each 12 is at 2ohm and each 12 has 250 watts. I only have two 12s and a 500watt amp at 4ohms but knocked to 2ohms per speaker- so It has a little more then 250 per 12...

Is that to everyones satisfactory?

I used to have 1 he2 12" running 250 rms to it and it badly needed more. I don't know how 350 will sound, but I would think that with 500rms the speaker could get loud. One thing i don't like about rockford it the "boomy" sound that they have. Thats why I got rid of mine. And whoever said go with eD, I agree. Great c/s, the best I have ever seen, and a 3 year warrenty.

not all the time, if alot of people have problems with fosgate then it cant be a coinsidence, ive heard about ALOT of problems with rockford, especially their newer stuff, my friend is a proffesional installer and he warned me against their products, you can do much, much better than these
