Default Eclipse vs MTX Subs

Im trying to decide which sub i want to go with. I only want to go with one 12" sub in the 500 watt rms range. Im going for a nice and clean hit. I cant decide from the Eclipse SW7200 or the MTX Thunder 8500. I heard good reviews for both of them but need some more opinions. thanks in advance ...

sorry bud, but massive audio is not even in the catagory. Tell them to make a amp that does not blow in a week and a sub that spyder does not tear. I work with them from time to time. There a new company to come out and I been checking them out but for now they are not up to par. I would rather you sat interfire. Give the company time and then check out there products. But If you do go with there subs stick with the CW 12 Stage2 its the only deciet product that has no complaint. And find anthor amp to push it.

The eclipse sub is decent at most. My friend had that eclipse sub and it sounded decent but the 8500 is the better buy for more bass and less money

the eclipse sub is actually almost 100 dollars less than mtx

Sorry but that mtx will clown over that eclipse sub. Not knocking the eclipse but it was never ment to do what the mtx was to do. If you were local I would let you hear the 8500. In a vented enclouser it slams. But does do real well in a sealed. If I was you I would get the mtx. You will not be dissapointed. Just make sure you don't underpower it. It does not like that. But it loves to go over on a proper tune.

I have worked with both, [I have Eclipse speakers in my 94LS] I have to agree with wrx-killer-Sti eater the MTX is a far better sub, especially in a sealed box, it will outperform the Eclipse in all ways. 94
