Doing GSR swap myself HELP!
Ok, I got a JDM GSR that I’m putting into a 93 CX hatch, i decided to take this on myself cuz I don't need the car immediately and too many times I was in a situation where I had to say "if you want it done right do it yourself". Well I'm at the point where the CX motor is ready to come out, CX harness is installed onto the GSR motor. From what I learned the knock sensor needs to be wired separately, the o2 sensor, and the vtec pressure switch and vtec solenoid will be separate also. I already salvaged the connectors for the knock sensor o2 and vtec, they are ready. Should i install those connectors on the motor and bolt the motor in or run the wires first through the fire wall and then install them on to the GSR after it’s bolted in. Throughout the wiring and salvaging wires I have been trying to make every thing look as good(stock) as I can, what is the best way to attach the extra wires to the actual ecu. I have gone over many articles and sites but none of them say how to connect the wires to the ecu. sorry for the long post and thanks for the help.
Hope this site helps some.

Hopefully you have a Helms handy. The Knock sensor wire and 2 of the O2 sensor wires are shielded - meaning they have a wire going around them that is grounded so it eliminates electrical interference's. If you've used the same wire from the JDM harness then it should be OK, if not I would get some shielded wire at Radio Shack.
I would install the motor and then start from the plug and work your way to the ECU. Route the wire however you feel is neat and efficient enough. Then cut off the excess inside near the ECU and use a pin with about 6" or so of wire coming from it. I always solder my connections and use heat shrink tubing because I think that's the best way. You could also use crimp connectors but too many in the same area gets messy.

Thanx for the info i have been wondering about the knock sensor wire and ill go with the shielded wire. One question wasnt answered though. How do i connect them to the ecu, There are 3 plugs do i just put them in the right hole and hope it will hold or what?
You can get the pins from a junkyard, or just strip part of the wire off twist it and jam it into the hole. The "twist and jam method" might not be the best, but it will get the job done (I had to do this because I couldnt find any pins).
I just made a "sub-harness" that contained the wires for the knock sensor, and VTEC equipment. I used the factory plugs, some different colors of wire, electrical tape, and wire loom to create a wiring harness that looks just like the factory one (only with 4 connectors). The ends of the wires are connected to a 4-pin Molex connector (for easy disconnection) and then into the cabin.
