Default Paint Project for XMAS weekend: painting!

I found the newer LS engine valve cover really smart looking. I wonder if the 98+ LS valve cover will fit my 1995 b18b1 engine?

If so i may go get one, paint it and upgrade my existing one which has the black finish chipping off.

Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah it will fit. You can even get a b20 valve cover and do the same thing.. since so many people have them laying around from their b20vtec swaps. Have fun w/that one.

Not to be a smartass but the 98+ valvecover is same thing as b20 valvecover thats the new "smart looking" valvecover he was talking about. Just letting you just in case you didn't. It will fit with no problem. Also if you polish it, it will look hot too. good luck let us know how it comes out.

Well, the Valve cover was a bit more involved than i would have liked given that you have to replace the gasket if you take the cover off.

Here are photos of my other projects which were successfully pulled off.

Painted Header shield:

Prep work

Mid Process

End Results:

I had some more time afterwards and i painted the rest of my car
(digitally of course)
