valve cover help..
Hey, I got a new valve cover for my ls last year, already painted, but I used GUNK on my engine and let it sit too long 
me, and it took the paint off the cover. How do I go about painting it again, my car is stored in my garage for the winter right now, is there a problem with leaving it in the cold with no cover on it while I paint it, how do I go about painting it? sorry for the dumb *** questions, I just couldnt find it anywehre in the search..

If it's gonna sit around exposed for a while, just put some saran wrap over the exposed head.
If you're gonna paint it, I recommend getting a high temperature paint like bbq paint. Also, make sure you clean the surface really good and put a scuff pad to it so the paint still stay on better.
